Pre War
Born in Little Heath in 1892. Son of Joseph and Rosa Ebbs, of Woodfield Lodge, Hatfield, Herts. In the 1911 census he was a gardener and living with his parents Joseph and Rosa Ebbs at Mymwood Lodge.
Wartime Service
Enlisted at Barnet while resident at Hatfield in September 1914. Landed in France, 26 January 1915. Killed in action during the first day of the Battle of St Eloi.
