Born on 5 Mar 1887 in Ilford, Essex son of Arthur and Frances Ellen Britten later of 200 Pinner Road, Harrow, Middlesex. Educated at the Royal Masonic School 1898-1903.

Wartime Service

Mentioned in despatches (1916). He was twice wounded, returned to the Front and was then killed in action by shell fire in Mametz Wood.
