Born in 1881 in the Rectory, Fulbourn, Cambridgeshire son of the Rev. John Vavasour and Ellen A. Durell who later lived in Tower Hill, Much Hadham, Hertfordshire.

Wartime Service

Enlisted at Cockspur Street, entered France on 17 Nov 1915 and was killed in action on the first day of the Battle of the Somme.
