Acknowledgements

‘Our’ men and women’s biographies usually restrict acknowledgements to the researcher(s) involved and any individuals or family members who have directly provided information or photographs and other organisations who have shared their information with us. Of course, this does not recognise the many other, more general, resources which may have been used to research and write the biography - here we try to correct that.
