Pre War

Born in 1878 in Bow, Middlesex son of Sarah Thurlow and was living in 16 West Hoe Cottage, Rye Road, Hoddesdon as a boarder in 1901.

Wartime Service

Previously enlisted on 2 Nov 1915 at Hertford, Private R/4/146028 in Army Service Corps Remount Depot, but was discharged on 5 Nov 1915 as unlikely to become an efficient soldier. Re-enlisted at Bedford and was killed in action.
