Pre War

Born on 3 May 1887 in Islip, Northamptonshire son of William and Katharine Elderkin later of 13 Millicent Road, West Bridgford, Nottingham. He was educated at the Royal Masonic School 1896-1902 and he was unmarried.

Wartime Service

Gazetted 2nd Lieutenant in Jan 1915 and served in Egypt from Jul 1915, Gallipoli from Oct 1915 and on the Somme from Jul 1916. He died in a dressing station from wounds sustained near Ypres.
