The only suggestion that Frank Crowther was born in Hitchin Herts. comes from the transcribed Soldiers Died In The Great War, However, the research undertaken found that the census (1901 and 1911) give his birth location as Bradford, Yorkshire as was his birth registration. His baptism record supports this too. We therefore believe Hitchin to be a transcription error and that this man has no connection to Hitchin.
