Pre War

Born in 1885 in Leith, Scotland son of William and Sarah Trory. He was living with his grandfather William Chalkley in 14 Rainham Street, Hertford in 1901. He married Clara Zipporak Harris of "Alberta," Les Camps, St. Martins, Guernsey.

Wartime Service

Enlisted at London in Mar 1915, entered France on 3 Aug 1915 but died of wounds in Mesopotamia.

Additional Information

Brother of Private George Edward Trory who died of wounds on 4 Oct 1918 and who is also commemorated on these memorials.
