Pre War

The Soldiers Died In The Great War database records that he was born in Liverpool and was living in St Albans, Herts.(*1) when he enlisted in Liverpool.

*1 Although the SDITGW gives his place of residence as St Albans, ‘Herts’, all other information relates to Liverpool. There is a St Albans parish in Liverpool, and so it seems likely that he is related to Liverpool and not Hertfordshire. If proven then this man has no connection to Hertfordshire and should be removed from this database.
