Son of John Henry and Florence (nee WESTHORP) WAGNER; husband of Rose Eva (nee DAINTREE) WAGNER.

His parents married 1885 in the Poplar, London, district.  John possibly died 1928 in the West Derby, Lancs, district aged 69; Florence died 1941 in the Edmonton, Middx, district aged 82.

Walter was born 1886 in Wood Green, Middx, and married 27 November 1915 in East Ham, Essex.  Rose remarried 1919 in the Kensington, London, district to Ferdinand S MACKRELL.

On the 1891 Census, he is proving elusive.  On the 1901 Census, a railway clerk aged 15, he lived in East Ham, with his mother and one sibling.  On the 1911 Census, a commercial photographer aged 25, he lived in Forest Gate, with his mother and one sibling.

Wartime Service

He attested 2 September 1915 for Short Service (Duration of the War) in the Royal Flying Corps: a photographer aged 25, 5’7″ tall, Congregational, of Forest Gate, Essex. 

He was entitled to the Victory and British War medals, and was killed in action.
