Pre War

Born in New Barnet on the 25th of June 1881, Alfred was the unmarried, youngest son of Alfred and Deborah Fox of 9 Eleanor Road, Bowes Park.


He was educated at St. Michael's School in Wood Green and was employed as a turner and fitter. 


He served in the Navy for 12 years, obtaining his discharge in November 1911. 

Wartime Service

Enlisting on the 13th of August 1914 he served with the Expeditionary Force in France and Flanders and was killed in action near Ypres.
