Born in 1876 in Letty Green, Hertingfordbury son of James Walter and Mary Warby and christened on 5 Mar 1876 in St Mary’s Hertingfordbury. Lived in 18 Hertingfordbury Road, Hertford as a carman in 1915 and was unmarried.

Wartime Service

Enlisted on 11 Dec 1915 at Hertford. Left for France from Southampton on 1 Jul 1916. Left base to join 12th London Regt. on 15 Jul 1916 but was diverted on 17 Jul and joined Middlesex Regt. He was killed in action.
