His parents are unknown.

Benjamin was born c1894 in Walthamstow, Essex, and resided in South Woodford, Essex.

On the 1901 Census, a pauper inmate aged 7 he lived in Leytonstone, Essex.  On the 1911 Census, a shop assistant aged 16, he was a foster boy to Robert and Rosa BEECH and lived in South Woodford.

Wartime Service

He enlisted in Stratford, Essex, and was formerly Driver 830 Army Service Corps.  

He was entitled to the Victory and British War medals, and was killed in action.  

Additional Information

Unfortunately, Benjamin’s Service record appears to be one that did not survive the World War Two bombing.
