Pre War

Born in 1879, in Swanscombe Kent one of 10 or more children of Robert and Susan, in 1881 the family were living at 6 Church Hill. Stone, Kent.


By 1891 the family were living at 6, Acacia Road, Stone. At some time he married Arundel Frances, and at the time of his death she was living at Fairlawn Northaw.

Wartime Service

He went to France 6th February 1917 and served with the Rangers until 3rd November 1917. He later served with the 9th Battalion London Regiment until he died on 12th September 1918 from wounds received in action.
