Charles was known as Frank and he was born in Layston, Buntingford in 1890 to George and Edith.  IN 1890 they lived in Garden Road, Buntingford. By 1901 they had moved to Newtown, Buntingford.


The 1911 census shows Frank as a bricklayer's labourer.


Recorded as born in Layston and was living in Buntingford when he enlisted in Royston.

Enlisted at Royston. Died of wounds.
