Born on 6 Jan 1886 son of William Colling and Eveline (Halley) Watson of 10 Lyndhurst Road, Hampstead, London.


Educated at Haileybury College 1899-1905, he became a bank clerk and shared accommodation with Clement Atlee (later Prime Minister) in 1911 in Stepney.

Wartime Service

Formerly Private 37473 8th London Regiment, he obtained his commission 2nd Lieutenant 8th London Regiment and was killed in action.
