Leonard Garment was born in Berkhamsted in 1888. The family lived at 79 Gossoms End, which is listed as containing only three rooms.
When worked as a General Labourer and enlisted on 22nd November 1915 in Hertford.
Wartime Service
On 28 January 1916 after 68 days he was discharged as “not likely to become an efficient soldier on medical grounds”.
He was admitted to hospital on 30th December and diagnosed with Pulmonary Tuberculosis which was not caused by military service.
He died in Berkhamsted some time between the beginning of July and the end of September 1916.
