Born in 1892 son of George and Ellen Lucy Webb, of Little Hormead, Buntingford, Herts. living there in 1911 as a farm labourer.


Recorded as born in Little Hormead and living there when he enlisted in Hertford.

Wartime Service

Entered France on 26 Jul 1915. The Battalion was fighting in the region of Bray and Carnoy in Mar 1916 and were in the front-line trenches from 2 Apr. Regular enemy artillery attacks were made on their trenches.


He was killed in action.
