Pre War

Born in 1878 in Hertford and christened on 13 Oct 1878 in Hertford son of John and Ellen (Drew) Ginn and living in Bircherley Green, Hertford in 1881 and in 9 Green Street, Hertford in 1891 and 1901.

He married Mary Dennis in 1903 in Hertford and they lived in 3a Balfour Street, Hertford with four children (with three sons and one daughter) in 1911. He was a brewing labourer.

Wartime Service

Posted to the Hertfordshire Regiment after joining the army, his unit’s war diary states that he died of illness in England.

Lack of any information on medals received may mean he never left the UK.
