Born on 26 Nov 1875 in The Barracks, Tipperary, Ireland son of Gen. Richard Temple and Elizabeth Mary Champion (de Crespigny) Godman. Educated at Haileybury College 1890-92. He married Josephine Eleanor Ellison in Esquimalt, B.C. Canada on 24 Feb 1910 and they lived in 185 Ashley Gardens, London SW. He was a brewer.

Wartime Service

Wounded and taken prisoner at Loos, 25 Sep 1915. Died while a POW in Holzminden, Brunswick, Germany.

Additional Information

His son Thomas Ellison Godman fell in World War Two.
