Born on 6 May 1893 in Southsea son of Sydney and Julie (Hart) Goldsmid. Educated at the United Services College 1908-11 and the Royal Military College, Sandhurst. Gazetted 2nd Lieutenant on 4 Sep 1912. He was unmarried.

Wartime Service

Promoted to Lieutenant on 20 Sep 1914. Mentioned in Dispatches (18 Oct 1914) and was killed in action.

Additional Information

United Services College, Westward Ho, Devon amalgamated with Imperial Service College in Windsor in 1912 and then moved to Haileybury College, Hertford Heath in 1942.
