Pre War

Born in Ealing in 1895. Eldest son of Frederic Charles and Mildred Sarah White of "Hillcrest," Potters Bar, Middx. In 1911 he was an accountant’s articled clerk.


Enlisted at London while resident in Potters Bar. Service number 9687 suggests he enlisted about December 1913.

Wartime Service

Landed at Le Havre, France, 4 November 1914. Died of wounds. Probably wounded during the Battle of St Julien (part of the Second Battle of Ypres) and died in No3 Canadian Field Ambulance.

Additional Information

War Gratuity of £5-7s-6d left to his father Frederic White (Solicitor). Probate figure of £542 also left to his father. Dependants Pension was paid to his mother following the death of his father.
