Born on 23 Aug 1893 at The Old Mill, Coalstoun, East Lothian son of Maj. Archibald Alexander Gordon C.B.E., M.V.O. and Lizzie Maude (Smith) Gordon of Monksbarn, Maugersbury, Stow-on-the-Wold, Gloucestershire. Educated at Haileybury College 1907-12 and Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge. Studying for Holy Orders when war broke out and at once joined up.

Wartime Service

Entered France on 5 May 1915. Died of wounds received at the Battle of Loos.

Additional Information

Brother E R A Gordon died of illness as a result of Service on 5 Oct 1932 and who is also commemorated on these memorials.
