Born on 19 Dec 1884 in Wanganui, Hornsey Lane, Islington, London son of Walter and Fanny Graves and baptised in Crouch End on 14 Feb 1885. Educated at Haileybury College 1898-1900.

Wartime Service

Gazetted as 2nd Lieutenant and promoted to Lieutenant in Sep 1914. He was killed in action in the front line in the first Battle of Ypres.
