The son of Mr Alfred and Mrs Stone of 20 Warwick Road, St Albans.


He was married and lived at 68 Lower Boundary Road, St Albans and a post man. He enlisted in 1916 and went to France later that year.


The Herts Advertiser of November 1917 records Albert and Alfred; aged 28 in the Buffs and missing since 24th June 1917. The CWGC records him as Albert and dying on that date.

Wartime Service

His brother Pte Horace Thomas Stone also died and brothers Thomas Charles and James also served and survived..
