Born on 3 Nov 1878 in Rotherhithe London son of Henry Richard Luff and Marion Wilson.


He was educated at the Royal Masonic School 1890-96 and was a quantity surveyor.


He married Maude Windibank on 25 Aug 1906 in Battersea, London and was living in 8 Spencer Gardens, East Sheen, London in 1911 and later at 30 Percy Avenue, Kingsgate, Broadstairs, Kent.

Wartime Service

Enlisted on 23 Jun 1916 at Stratford, London and was undergoing training at Winchester when he caught pneumonia and died in the military hospital there on the eve of departure to Salonika.
