Pre War

Eldest son of Frederick Winch (Land Agent)and Maud Louise (nee Browning) .He was educated at Aldenham School and Pembroke College Cambridge, where he was a member of the OTC.

Wartime Service

He joined the 6th (Reserve) Battalion on 15 Aug 1914 and was sent out to the 3rd Battalion in France on 15 feb 1915.


On 6th March 1915 he was wounded at Armentieres and was at No 3 General Hospital Le Treport when he died from his wounds on 25 Mar 1915.
