Carol D'Arcy-Irvine was born in Goulburn, New South Wales, the son of Arthur Trevor D'Arcy-Irvine of Sydney, New South Wales and the late Fanny Larmer  D'Arcy-Irvine. 


He was working as a tram conductor at the time of his enlistment and gave his address as St Francis College, Nundah, Queensland. 

Wartime Service

He enlisted on 28 October 1914 as a Sergeant in the 13th Battalion, 2nd Reinforcement, under reg. no. 1303. His unit embarked from Sydney, New South Wales, on board HMAT A48 Seang Bee on 11 February 1915.


He was commissioned as Lieutenant and was killed in action on 20 June 1918.
