Born on 11 Sep 1892 in Glendale, Northumberland son of the Rev. Oliver Warner and Edith (Dunn) Darling. Educated at Haileybury College 1907-10. He married Violet Caroline Darling and lived in Duncannon, Wexford, Ireland. He was unmarried.

Wartime Service

Gazetted 2nd Lieutenant to the 14th Bn. RIR on 16 Sep 1914 and transferred to 3rd Bn. in Apr 1915. Attached to 1st Bn., promoted Lieutenant and entered France in Aug 1915. He was killed in action while on patrol south of Armentieres.

Additional Information

Brother of 2nd Lieutenant Claud Henry Wish Darling who was killed in action on 12 Dec 1915 near Armentieres.
