Son of Ulysse/Ulysie/Ulysses and Kate Constance (nee KOETTLITZ) HANNARD.


His parents married 1896 in the St Pancras, London, district.  Kate died 1931 in the St Pancras district aged 57.


Albert was born 18 January 1896 in St Pancras, and baptised 15 March 1896 at St Pancras Parish Church.  He resided in Watford.


On the 1901 Census, aged 5 he lived in St Pancras, with his parents and three siblings.  On the 1911 Census, a ironmonger’s errand boy aged 15, he lived in Regent’s Park, London, with his mother [separated from his father] and four siblings.


Recorded as born in St Pancras and was living in Watford when he enlisted in Hounslow.

Wartime Service

He enlisted in Hounslow, Middx; was entitled to the Victory, British War and 1914 Star medals, his qualifying date being 13 August 1914, and died at Vailly of wounds received in action.  

Additional Information

Unfortunately, Albert’s Service Record appears to be one that did not survive the World War Two bombing.
