Born on 20 Feb 1897 in Blackheath, Kent son of William and Bessie (Wild) Hart of 28 Lawn Terrace, Blackheath, London.


Educated at the Royal Masonic School 1905-12 and became a motor mechanic in London. He was unmarried.

Wartime Service

Enlisted on 1 Nov 1915 at Blackheath and served in France from Jun 1916. He was transferred to Salonika in Nov 1916 and then to Palestine in Dec 1917. He was killed in action in the defence of Jerusalem.
