Born in 1895 in Hertford son of William Henry and Elizabeth Emily (Martin) Storey and lived in 25 Currie Street, Hertford. He was a shop assistant.

Wartime Service

Enlisted at Kensington, London and was killed in action during the Battle of the Menin Road, near Ypres.

Additional Information

William is also commemorated on his parents' headstone in Hertford Corporation Cemetery. His part of the inscription reads:

. . . AND THEIR SON WILLIAM KILLED IN FRANCE 1917, AGED 22
