Pre War

Born on 9 Dec 1897 in Dulwich, London son of James Charles and Mary Ann Harvey. Educated at the Royal Masonic School 1908-12 and then emigrated to Canada. He was a farm labourer.

Wartime Service

Returned to England and enlisted on 1 Jan 1916 at Westminster formerly 4610, Royal Fusiliers and entered France in Apr 1916. He transferred to the Royal Engineers on 12 Jan 1918. He was reported missing on 30 Mar 1918 at St Quentin and was presumed killed in action.
