Born in 1883 in Wilstone, Hertford and baptised on 3 Mar 1892 in Great Berkhamsted, Hertford son of Joseph and Sarah Stracey and was living in 40 Shrubland Avenue, Berkhamsted in 1911 as a boarder and a carman.

Wartime Service

Enlisted at Bedford, entered France on 30 Aug 1914 and was killed in action.
