Born on 29 May 1896 and baptised on 28 Jun 1896 in Hoddesdon son of Thomas and Louisa (Morley) Young and was living in Burford Street, Hoddesdon in 1901 and in 12 Amwell Street, Hoddesdon in 1911. He was a greengrocer’s boy.

Wartime Service

Enlisted at Hertford, formerly 5164 Hertfordshire Regiment before renumbering as 266714 and then transferred as 620091 to the 274th POW Company, Labour Corps. He died in France at the end of War.
