Pre War

Born on 22 Aug 1872 in Soham, Hampshire son of Lt. Col. Henry (R.M.A.) and Laura Barbara (Russell) Hewett. Educated at the United Services College 1882-85. Commissioned 2nd Lieutenant West Indian Regiment in 1894 and was made Captain in 1900. He retired in 1913 and then rejoined in 1914.

Wartime Service

Entered France on 16 Jan 1915 and was killed in action.

Additional Information

United Services College, Westward Ho, Devon amalgamated with Imperial Service College in Windsor in 1912 and then moved to Haileybury College, Hertford Heath in 1942.
