Born on 18 Mar 1890 son of Fairfax and Agnes Maude (Taylor) Davies of Scarborough Hill, North Walsham, Norfolk. Educated at Haileybury College 1905-08 and then was articled to his father, a solicitor. He was unmarried.

Wartime Service

Obtained his commission in Aug 1914 and was promoted to Lieutenant in 1915. Entered France on 5 Jan 1917 attached to the West Yorkshire Regiment and was killed in action while on patrol near Lagnicourt.
