Born on 14 Aug 1883 in Chailey, Sussex son of Rev Henry Moray and Annette Forster (Fernandez) Hilton of "The Moorings," Webheath, Redditch. Educated at Haileybury College1897-1902 and Trinity College, Cambridge. He taught at Bury St Edmunds and then University College School. He was unmarried.

Wartime Service

Gazetted 2nd Lieutenant on 4 Sep 1914 and Lieutenant in Dec 1914. Entered France on 18 Oct 1914 and was killed in action at Kemmel, Belgium.
