Pre War

Son of Frederick A and Louisa INCH.

His parent’s marriage is proving elusive.  Louisa died 10 September 1959 in Dunmow, Essex, aged 86.

Albert was born c1898 in St Luke’s, London, tho’ there is no birth registration for that time and place.  He resided in London.

On the 1901 Census, aged 3 he lived in Clerkenwell, London, with his parents and three siblings.  On the 1911 Census, at school aged 12, he lived in London E.C., with his parents and four siblings.

Wartime Service

He enlisted in London E.C.; was entitled to the Victory and British War medals, and died at No. 53 Casualty Clearing Station, of wounds received in action.

Additional Information

Unfortunately, Albert’s Service Record appears to be one that did not survive the World War Two bombing.
