Pre War

Born on 22 Oct 1891 son of Joseph Charles and Esther Jacobs.


Educated at the Royal Masonic School 1903-09 and University College, Reading 1909-13.


He then became a science master at Mr Green’s School, Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Wartime Service

He returned to England and was commissioned 2nd Lieutenant in Nov 1914 and entered France on 5 Sep 1915.


He was reported missing at the Battle of Loos and presumed killed in action.
