Born in 1896 in Ware, Hertfordshire son of Charles and Agnes Ellen Knight and was living in 10 Crib Street, Ware in 1911 working as a baker’s lad for his father.
Wartime Service
Enlisted at Hertford and was wounded in Dec 1916. He recovered in hospital in Wrexham, returned to France where he was killed in action.
