Pre War

Albert was born in 1876 to George and Eliza. He was baptised on 31st December 1876. In 1881 the family lived at 11 Lilley. 10 years on and he living with his parents and his four siblings. 


He was married to Elizabeth around 1900 and they had five children, Frederick Gladys, Florence, Herbert and Marjorie. Before the war he was living in Stopsley at Marsom Place. He was a bricklayers labourer.


Wartime Service

Albert Enlisted in Luton in June 1916.  Formerly G/14432, Royal West Surrey Reg


He was sent to the Western Front at the conclusion of his training. He was in almost continuous fighting until his death. He was killed in action.
