Born on 24 Dec 1876 in Bayswater, London son of H. Cripps Lawrence F.R.C.S and Mrs. H. Lawrence later of 'Rahere', Babbacombe, Devon. Educated at the United Services College 1890-91. He married Eleanor Mary Smythe on 24 Apr 1912 in Holy Trinity, Brompton, London.

Wartime Service

Served in South African Campaign 1901-02 and was made Captain and Adjutant in the East Yorks. in 1907. He entered France on 8 Sep 1914 and was killed in action between Lille and Armentieres.

Additional Information

United Services College, Westward Ho, Devon amalgamated with Imperial Service College in Windsor in 1912 and then moved to Haileybury College, Hertford Heath in 1942.
