Born on 27 Oct 1895 in Chislehurst, Kent son of Hugh and Alice Lawson, of Camden Rise, Chislehurst, Kent and baptised there on 3 Dec 1895.


Educated at Haileybury College 1910-14. He was unmarried.

Wartime Service

Gazetted 2nd Lieutenant 22 Oct 1914. Entered France in Aug 1915 and arrived at the front-line trenches at Hulluch on 25 Sep during the Battle of Loos. He was killed the following morning while leading his men just outside the German trenches.

Additional Information

Brother of Lieutenant Reginald Hugh Lawson M.C. who was killed in action on 24 Aug 1916 and is also commemorated on these memorials.
