Born in 1886 in Taplow, Buckinghamshire son of Walter Robert and Janetta Isabelle Ernshaw (Large) Leyster. He married Bessie Matilda Franklin in 1912 in Maidenhead, Berkshire and they lived at The Rose and Crown, Chorleywood, Hertfordshire with one daughter.

Wartime Service

Enlisted at London and died of wounds in the 104th Field Ambulance.
