Born on 27 Jan 1895 in Birkenhead, Cheshire son of Col. Ralph Pudsay Littledale (late R.E.) and Mary Olivia Georgina (Tredcroft) of Lydenhurst, Hertford and later of Roselawn, Wokingham, Berkshire. He was educated at Wellington College and University College, London and was unmarried.

Wartime Service

Gazetted 2nd Lieut on 1 Sep 1914, entered France on 31 May 1915 and was wounded at Ypres in Nov 1915. Promoted Lieutenant on 6 Nov 1915 and Captain on 11 Aug 1917, he was killed in action near Gonnelieu.
