Born on 1 Oct 1886 son of Walter F. K. and Isabella R. Lyon, of Tantallon Lodge, North Berwick. Educated at Haileybury College 1899-1905 and Balliol College, Oxford reading law.

Wartime Service

Entered Belgium in Feb 1915 and was killed in the trenches at Potijze Wood near Ypres by fierce shelling.

Additional Information

He was a war poet and a collection of his poems was published in 1916. Brother of Lieut Alexander Patrick Francis Lyon killed in action on 19 September 1914 & Capt Charles James Lyon killed in action on 13 Nov 1914 all of whom are commemorated on these me
