Born on 2 Aug 1884 and baptised on 24 Sep 1884 in Moran, Bengal, India son of Lt. Col. Malcolm Thomas and Ethel Sackville (Berkeley) Lyde. Educated at the United Services College 1895-1902. He married Alice Maude Davis in 1908 in Wandsworth, London.

Wartime Service

Entered France on 25 Aug 1915. Died in hospital in Hounslow of pneumonia.

Additional Information

He changed his surname from Lyde to Lyde-Malcolm. (Lyde Malcolm in CWGC). United Services College, Westward Ho, Devon amalgamated with Imperial Service College in Windsor in 1912 and then moved to Haileybury College, Hertford Heath in 1942.
