He was living in Rye Park, Hoddesdon when he enlisted.

Enlisted at Hertford and was killed in action by a falling bullet while on patrol in Mulebbis, near Jaffa (Tel Aviv).

Additional Information

*1 There is an R S Lyond on the Hoddesdon and Rye Park Town Memorial, an R S Lyons on the St Catherine and St Paul’s Church Memorial and a Reginald T Lyons on the St Cuthbert's Rye Park Church Memorial. Nobody with the surname Lyond appears in the CWGC or SDITGW records. We believe that they are all the same man and that Lyons in the correct surname - until information suggests otherwise we assume R S Lyond to be the Reginald T Lyons.
