Born on 3 Feb 1889 in Newcastle upon Tyne, Northumberland son of Mackay D. S. and Florence MacKenzie later of 14 Fairmount Road, Bexhill-on-Sea. Educated at Haileybury College 1903-06.

Wartime Service

Formerly Private 632 19th Royal Fusiliers he entered France on 12 Nov 1915. He obtained a commission as 2nd Lieutenant in The Queen’s on 15 Mar 1916 Killed in action.
